Skins
For this project, I created a logo for an exhibit inspired by reptiles. I decided to feature a protective cover for iPods, cell phones, and computers called Skins, inspired by the fact that reptiles shed their skins. The logo displays an iPod that peels up into the form of a snake. The snake looks tough, to demonstrate the durability of the protective skins. The logo also has a clean geometric style for its technological purpose. The stationery includes a letterhead, envelope, business card, and sample skins. The business card slides out and has a sample skin on the back. The tag line on each of the stationery pieces is "Slip into a new skin."
Package Redesign
For this project, I chose to redesign the Junior Mints package to appeal to teenagers and movie-goers. The white package has never changed since the 1920's when the candy was created. I decided that the background should be green to give the box a minty fresh feel. Also, the silky texture helps to communicate creamy chocolate. To promote the new package, I created a magazine advertisement, which helps the candy appeal to the target audience. Here is the case study book, which includes a style guide, package layout, photography, and the advertisement: Junior Mints Redesign

Girls Camp Logo
The Youth Leaders of the LDS Church in Bakersfield, CA asked me to design a logo for Girls Camp 2009. The theme was "Fit for His Kingdom." I thought a coat of arms fit nicely with the "kingdom" theme, and the Youth Leaders agreed. This logo was used in several colors on the t-shirts that year.
Meso America Tour Book
I helped to layout and arrange the contents and images for the BYU-Idaho 2009 Meso America Tour Book. This book contained over 300 pages. I designed the cover and created the symbols used in the Culture Stop sections of the book and the Mayan numbers in the corners of the spreads. Here is a Culture Stop chapter from the book: Culture Stop
